As an outdoor lifestyle brand, preserving the outdoors for the generations to come is our priority. SUNS contributes to sustainability in various ways.
It starts with creating products that have a long lifespan, thus reducing material waste.
Moreover, some highlights of our sustainable program:
Environment-friendly materials
All products are made at modern, efficient and environment-aware production facilities throughout the world. We use materials that have been obtained sustainably. Our teak and wood for instance, is solely obtained from FSC or SVLK-certified origin.
Recycled PET product line
Within the SUNS PET series we offer a number of outdoor products based on recycled PET bottles. In an innovative process, the used PET bottles are converted into fibers. With these fibers we make a new fabric that feel soft like natural textiles, but is just as weather and moisture resistant as the former PET bottles. Ideal material for our outdoor cushions, rugs and pouffes!
Solar-power garden lighting
The SUNS lighting collection features a series of solar-powered lamps. While charging during the day and offering up-to 18 hours of light, these sustainable lamps also bring the advantage of optimum freedom of placement.
Zero energy office
At the SUNS headquarters we have a zero energy policy. All energy-usage from the offices, warehouse and Experience Center, is compensated with renewable energy generation from our solar panel installations.
